Lawn Fertilizer

The Healthy Way to Reduce Lawn Weeds

A thick and healthy lawn will shade out weeds - the thicker the lawn, the fewer the weeds. You can thicken your lawn by fertilizing 3 to 4 times a year starting in early spring.

  • Early spring: Fertilize and prevent weeds and crabgrass.
  • Late spring: Fertilize to thicken lawn and shade out weeds.
  • Summer: Fertilize to help turf resist hot summer weather and insects.
  • Fall: Fertilize to prevent fall weeds. Use a high potassium fertilizer.
